Guard and guide the architecture of the ASML build environment, in co-operation with the internal customer and IT stakeholders.

Job Description
As Configuration Build Architect / Software Engineer you play a major role in defining short/mid/long term build environment roadmap. You define improvement proposals that focus on system performance and process efficiency for end-users.
Besides this you stay in contact and aligned with major tool suppliers to discuss their roadmaps.You are strong partner in discussions with Software Engineering Infrastructure domain architects and other stakeholders within the internal customer departments. You keep abreast with relevant literature, means and methods.

Context of the position ASML IT
The IT division supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML's internal and external activities.

A sub-department within the IT organization is IT CCP ST (Competence Center Product Solution Team); this department is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling for ASML's development organization. Within IT CCP ST three development disciplines are represented: mechanical, electrical and software engineering.

The senior SCM Test Environment will be active in the software engineering group.
The senior SCM Test Environment architect will be part of the Architecture team which is part of the software engineering group (approximately 100 FTE). This group is responsible for the software development environment for ASML's product lines and maintains supports and further develops this environment.

Bachelor Level

Experience

• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience as architect or software developer with experience with make files and designs;
• Thorough understanding and practical experience with:
• Development environments and strategy in general
• Make tooling like GNU Make or similar
• Configuration and build management
• Unix/Linux Hardware infrastructure
• Knowledge of ClearCase is a pre.

• Shows initiative and problem solving attitude;
• Pragmatic, practical, flexible and committed to quality;
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
