Job Mission
- Provides safety expertise/content and first line safety support
- Provides safety input for the creation and review of (Coach) procedures, thus supporting the safety level in these procedures.
- Increases proto-safety level by controlling product generation process for test set ups and proto-machines.
- Inspects & maintains technical safety levels of testrigs in the D&E/R department a.o. by:
- Facilitating safety studies: FMEA/HAZOPs/TRA's (new tooling / workpermits)
- Supports PGP and release of tools on the shopfloor (e.g. PSSR)
- Supports MOC process: expert input
Job Description - Consults, supports and reviews Coach procedures regarding safety, work in close cooperation with Manufactuiring Engineers in the D&E Machine Architecture & Industrialization Service & Manufacturing Technology department. (a.o. Technical writer team).
- Supports safety in PGP in close cooperation with Product safety engineers
- Maintains L4 L5 workinstruction & procedures
- Is able to constructively communicate safety issues with D&E and Research employees on PhD and Master level.
- Enables, participates and maintains safety- awareness
- Enables roll-out EHS corporate projects.
- Delivers input for monthly safety meeting
- Enabler of D&E safety management System,
- App. 10% shopfloor, 70% technical procedure competence, 20% office & meetings
Context of the position In this position you will report to the Group Lead D&E SafetyYour main interfaces will be team members of the D&E safety group, Safety representatives and coordinators, Management of D&E and Research, Facility Management EHS organization, Safety Process Management, Facility Manamagment assets organization and Safety group leaders of other sectors
ASML - Safety Engineer Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor or Master degree (preferably in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electronics, physics, ...) plus safety professional HVK level (is a must)
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience as safety/EHS engineer in a complex environment
Proven knowledge of:
- Procedural safety
- ISO 12100 , OHSAS 18001,
- Risk assessment techniques
Preferable knowledge of:
- Dangerous chemicals (e.g. gasses)
- Inspection & auditing techniques
- CE process for machine safety
Personal skills- Fluent level of English language.
- Keeps deadlines within the framework of daily operations;
- Pays attention to detail and produces work that meets the very highest quality standards;
- Works result oriented and driven; get aspects of safety adequately done without posing unnecessary delays.
- Is able to influence stakeholders, works independently and remains effective under pressure;
- Is able to convince others to make safety a priority especially to academic educated users.
- Through a strong knowledge base of (technical) safety(theories) is able to factually support his/her case.
