Division description

Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the development of ASML products. Within this sector the department Machine Control & Infrastructure (MCI) is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the software of the complex lithographic machines.

ASML creates high tech machines; software engineers from MCI are facing several aspects of facilitating software, production control, data management and Interface control. A huge code base is maintained and under strict configuration management to provide maximum commonality between different machine types.Within MCI the Computer systems group provides all the computer systems internally in the scanner. 
From control host, data host to computing platform for the embedded Software functions. In the group we have 3 teams with each their area of expertise. Operating System, Infrastructure and the SWLC team which is responsible for Software Release Tooling like Patch mechanism, release upgrades, etc. For the SWLC we are currently looking for a new TL.



Job Description

As a team leader you will guide the daily operations with a team of around 15 FTE. Work in the team ranges from support questions to new developments for our latest Linux platform. Lead the team by getting them motivated in an efficient way using the ‘we can do' mentality.

With this team you will have contact with Software engineers, Software integration, Project Leads, Customer Support and Manufacturing. Within the group you will work in a continuous improving environment, so you should feel energized by these changes to move forward. We even expect you to take proactive initiative for continues improvement on software quality and/or development efficiency.

It is your task to create clear day to day plans and manage the execution such that Quality, Cost, Timing and Functionality are balanced in agreement with your project leaders.The team leader is also part of a core team within the group that drives continuous improvements in process, organization and skills. Entrepreneurial behavior is a must.


 

ASML - Senior Teamleader Software Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor or Master level with an education in Technical Software, Informatics, Computer Science, Embedded systems, Mathematics or comparable.

Experience

• You should have at least had 5 years experience as team lead for a software development team.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Experience in programming languages ( C and Python or another scripting language)

• knowledge on OS systems like Linux, VxWorks, Solaris
• Software Configuration management (ClearCase)

• Well organized.
• Pro-active, self-starter, decisive, takes ownership
• Strong communicator with pragmatic attitude
• Real team player with quality orientation
