Job Description
As Operational Improvement Manager in IT Means and Methods you will be responsible for identifying and driving the implementation (directly or through others) of operational improvements in the IT department in the areas of architecture, program & project management and support and change & release management. The targeted improvements encompass both ‘hard' and ‘soft' aspects of our organization.
Main responsibilities
- Maintain the IT / Means and Methods overall improvement roadmap and ensure timely execution of the approved initiatives;
- Work with enterprise architects, project managers and PMO manager to identify improvements to the IT processes, templates, ways of working and skill set requirements;
- Work with the Competence Centers and the Operations & Infrastructure department on the continuous improvement of the change & release management process Implement improvements to the link between the change & release management process and the architecture review and approval process;
- Work with the Competence Center Directors (or their designated delegates) to successfully deploy the improvements roadmap initiatives in the Competence Centers and the O&I department;
- Define the training needs of architects, project managers and project support officers;
- Liaise and align with HR with relation to people development initiatives;
- Redesign, implement and maintain the Means & Methods portal;
- Investigates opportunities to change;
- Actively informs and involves others in change processes;
- Monitors progress and measures results and overcomes barriers by reacting to changing environmental factors at an early stage; escalates if targets cannot be met;
- Defines efficient structures and processes, simplifies work methods or operations to improve performance and deliver results in order to reach agreed goals.
ASML - IT - Operational Improvement Manager Job Requirements
Education:
- Academic working and thinking level, candidate has a Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration or Information Technology.
Experience:- At least 10 years of experience in other business and IT roles;
- Eperience with designing, implementing and deploying operational improvements in complex organisations;
- Experience in managing projects and IT implementations; Understands typical IT roles and processes.
Personal skills:- Communicates clearly, concisely and directly to peers and customers as well as managers Masters a variety of interaction and presentation styles and easily adjusts to audiences of diverse backgrounds;
- Gains others' buy-in by challenging, influencing and motivating them in a positive way also beyond own area of expertise and in difficult situations, even without formal authority and where critical outcomes are at stake;
