Job Description
As the S&MT Availability Engineering and Management Group Lead you lead a team of motivated analysts, engineers, architects and project leads as part of the dynamic and challenging cross-sectoral ASML environment.
Special focus is on embedding industrial performance aspects (Reliability, Availability) early in the design phase. This in order to prevent quality issues for customers, in ASML's factories, and at suppliers, while ensuring a timely introduction of the products to the market.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction: interpretation of business requirements into team and account deliverables
- Ensure alignment with key stakeholders across the globe for solution finding and implementing, but also to key stakeholders on higher level in organization
- Take ownership for complete embedding, lessons learned and implementation
- Increase completeness & correctness of information in advise to the programs in order to steer to reach specs and increase effectiveness & efficiency within the team
- Develop and coach team members (on management skills, communication, issue resolving and pro-active design for Av) and actively manage succession planning and career paths of team members
- Is able to select and decide on hiring of new engineers and architects
Context of the position As Group lead Availability Management/Engineering in ASML's S&MT department, you will report to the Director S&MT. Internal interfaces with program management, SE, D&E, Factories, Customer Support and external interfaces (suppliers and customers).

Education
Bachelor or Master Degree in Science or Engineering
Experience
- At least 10 years relevant experience in semiconductor industry or industrial environment, in complex technically driven organizations, preferably within ASML;
- Preferably both project leadership / management experience;
- In-depth working experience in product development / design and / or industrial engineering;
- Basic know-how of scanner/stepper competencies, modules, or system-wide functions;
- Track record on NPI / PGP way of working within D&E & PGs and understands (field) operational wow (MF/CS)
- Preferably experienced in “design for availability/service”
Personal skills- Drive to achieve availability/reliability growth for new ASML products;
- Building solid relationships with multiple PG/CS/DE /OPS interfaces on all levels (eg. DM, VP, PCM, PDM)
- Put things in the right context for each level (show leadership versatility)
- Strong result oriented, managing deadlines
- Is used to working in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong people development focus: set-up for success
- Personal ability to effectively interface and interact with design projects & programs as well as operational sectors (supply chain, manufacturing, customer service);
