The Job
Within 3E’s Consultancy Business Unit, you manage and contribute significantly to projects involving grid integration of renewable energies in the grid.
You can rely on your technical background as input to formulating recommendations and presenting the results to stakeholders. Your work is situated between applied research and real-world electrical power engineering:
• Engineering services for intelligent grid and energy storage management
• Conduct technical studies (diagnostics, data analysis, dimensioning of off-grid power systems)
• Advise on grid integration feasibility of renewable energy projects based on modelling and simulation of power systems
• Deploy smart grid concepts and innovative control strategies for efficient integration of renewable energy
• Manage projects including end-to-end project administration: planning, realisation, coordination, cost control as well as relationships with clients, partners and suppliers

Profile
• Master degree in electrical power engineering
• Relevant work experience, ideally with a DSO/TSO or in power system consultancy or related is a plus
• Strong interest in renewable energy
• Multidisciplinary interest and the ability to link disciplines (energy, policy, economics, technology)
• Knowledge of DigSilent Powerfactory is a plus
Skills
• Strong organisational capabilities, able to function autonomously as well as within a team
• Ability to identify key issues, assess their implications and communicate complex subjects in readily understandable terms
• Able to work in a transversal team, across several departments
• Creative and innovative mind-set
• Analytical and focussed with strong communication skills, both oral and in writing
• Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch, French or additional languages is an asset
