We Are Looking For an Experienced and Talented Composite Design Engineer to Join Our Design Team
Based in the heart of the Red Bull Technology technical office you will get to work on a huge variety of car components including the chassis, bodywork, wings, gear box and impact structures.
You will cover all aspects of design; from clean sheet scheming to all tooling aspects, detailed component design, assemblies and associated jigging and pit gear. You will also be involved in material selection & laminate design, rig testing and sign off of your parts, and of course rapid reaction to feedback from the circuit.
Being far more than just a draughtsperson, you will need to appreciate the bigger organisational picture and be prepared to be flexible in your approach to suit ever changing priorities.
We are always pushing to use the latest advances in Composite Technology, so you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of fascinating R&D projects.
To fulfil this exciting position you will need:
A good engineering qualification.
Recent experience of state of the art composite design.
An understanding of current composite material technology, the associated tooling requirements, production techniques and processes.
Experience of 3D CAD (Siemens NX desirable but not essential)
In this dynamic team environment you will need to be self-motivated, able to work with a minimum of supervision to very tight deadlines and have excellent communication & organisational skills.
