Operations Analyst (m/f) Job Description

Responsibilities:

• The Operations Analyst is mainly responsible for deal validation and deal settlement within the Structured Product Operations team. This includes the following tasks:
  • Checking of electronic deal data in trading systems against external sources
  • Clarification of deal discrepancies with Front Office and other process stakeholders
  • Creation and settlement of invoices for trading counterparties
  • Verification and quality check of incoming trading invoices
  • Support of outstanding debt and dunning process
• Active participation in regular performance dialogues and involvement problem-solving sessions
• Support of ad-hoc tasks (e.g. data analysis, reporting, project work, user acceptance testing (UAT) activities)
• In case this is required, support of other tasks in the wider Structured Contracts Operations area, e.g. Transfer Pricing, Long-Term Gas Operations
• Work closely with various stakeholders (e.g. Front Office, Operations, Risk Management) on process improvements and Operational Excellence initiative

Operations Analyst (m/f) Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Essential

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar (Bachelor or higher), alternatively 2 years of practical work experience
• Fluent in English with very good written and verbal communication
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills with a solution-oriented mind-set and attention to detail
• Highly motivated, structured and methodical with high level of self-initiative, energy and flexibility
• Approachable, able to work effectively cross-functionally with all areas of the business and build relationships
• Able to work as part of a team as well as individually
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel at intermediate to high level)
• Desire to work in intercultural teams, enjoy a busy and thriving environment and having fun at work

• Working knowledge of the SAP system and/or energy trading systems
• Ability to generate new ideas and recognises the need for change through new or modified approaches
