As an artificial intelligence expert , you execute research projects for the intelligent and autonomous vehicle technology in the domain ‘Intelligent Driver & Traffic Systems’
Function
· Identification and scene recognition of the vehicle environment surrounding for the purpose of supporting autonomous driving tasks
· Development and implementation of complex signal processing, fusion and control decision algorithms
· Use the developed algorithms and/or models for enhancing the vehicle environment perception, analyzing the behaviour of the vehicle and the driver, optimizing the decision controller/software design to perform safely and adequately complex vehicle manoeuvres
· Validate the developed vehicle/driver/environment models together with the developed intelligent decision controllers when applied to command the motion planner and the vehicle dynamics control of the ego-vehicle in real-life test conditions at dedicated test sites e.g. the Ford Lommel Proving Grounds
· Dissemination of the results in journals, conferences and seminars
· You will work in Lommel and report to the site manager of Lommel
Profile
You have
· Master's degree or PhD in Engineering (Cybernetics, Signal Processing, Control systems,...) ;
· A track record in research or relevant working experience in automotive industry is a plus;
· Deep knowledge in Artificial intelligence (machine learning, pattern recognition, neural networks, planning, perception, etc ...);
· Experience with C/C++, Matlab/Simulink and dSpace;
· Broad experience (such as modelling, signal processing, sensor fusion, control algorithms, rapid control prototyping tools, SIL, HIL, ..) is a plus;
· Knowledge of sensors (such as GNSS, IMUs, navigation Maps, vision, radar, Lidar and IR) is a plus.
