As an researcher or a high potential in functional safety, you execute research projects in the domain of the intelligent and autonomous vehicles of the future. You work together with your colleagues, the universities and the automotive industry.
Function
Real-time control of safety-critical applications has been a long time challenge for engineers. Applications are becoming more complex and the standards require more sophisticated functional safety concepts in both the automotive and industrial markets. To design the intelligent and autonomous vehicle of the future, we are looking for a researcher or a high potential to become an expert, for research in
· Safety analyses for the intelligent and autonomous vehicles
· Development and implementation of reliability methodologies
· Supporting role in safety certification and audits in companies.
More specific, you
· perform analyses from the point of view of functional safety;
· perform standards and safety analyses e.g. HARA, HAZOP, FTA, FMEA, FMDA;
· develop reliability methodology utilizing Markov Analysys, Reliability Block Diagrams, FRACAS, Physics of Failures,…;
· performs assessment audits in companies;
· disseminate the results in conferences and seminars;
· report to the Project Leader and the site manager.
You have
· A master's degree or PhD in Engineering ;
· Track record in Functional Safety in automotive or related sector is a plus
· Knowledge of standards (e.g. ISO26262, ISO61508, EN 61709, IEC TR 62380, MIL-HDBK-338B.R) and reliability methodooligies
· Broad knowledge in vehicle technology and modelling software (SysML modeling, MATLAB/Simulink)
