Design Engineer Job Description

To join our department working on high temperature sensors, we are looking for a:
 
Design Engineer
 
Responsible for design and development of high temperature sensors components (ceramics, screen-printing inks and sintered structures) for the automotive industry. A Design Engineer at Sensata finds solutions for customer needs. Fits specifications and translates this to components and assembly. Tests and proves agreed on specifications. Is responsible for the product, from first customer contact until mass assembly. Works in international teams and with international customers.
 
Most important tasks and responsibilities:

• Works in project teams on design of sensors
• Is co-responsible for progress of the project
• Stays in contact with customers and suppliers on a regular basis.

Design Engineer Job Requirements

Educational requirements:

• BA / MA technical education level (preferably Mechanical / Material Engineering)

• Experience in the area of product design or R&D.
• Good communication skills, written and verbally, in English.
• Teamplayer, able to work in multidisciplinary project teams .
• Knowledge of MS-Office software (Word, Windows, Excel and Outlook).
• Pro-active attitude.
• Prepares to travel abroad.
• Capable of setting priorities.
• Enjoys facing challenges.
• Result oriented.
