Data Center Technical Facility Engineer Job Description

Your challenge:

The Data Center Technical Facility Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and technical operation of all mechanical, electrical and security systems within the Equinix data centers. You are involved in the installation work of the systems and provides preventive and corrective maintenance and the availability of service (cooling and energy). Here you will work closely with subcontractors and support you if necessary. In addition you will be responsible for coordinating the work, subcontractors and technical adaptations. You are part of a dynamic team that is committed to quality, success and high level of customer satisfaction.

Your tasks
• Maintenance of the Technical Facility Management Infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, security, operating systems, fire and security systems);
• Monitoring reports on the various alarm systems and respond to any messages;
• Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance;
• Analyzing failures and make proposals for increasing availability of infrastructure;
• Perform actions in a proactive manner and according to the work orders in the Asset Management System (Maximo) capture;
• The operation of the technical infrastructure in a safe and efficient manner;
• Participate in various projects from engineering to construction and the preparation of technical specifications, evaluation of bids and advise for commissioning;
• Coordinate activities according Equinix procedures;
• Daily, weekly and provide monthly status reports to the Technical Facility Manager;
• Training new employees and knowledge sharing within the TFM team;
• Support for new (customer) installations;
• Monitoring or procedures be performed to achieve the highest level of service.

Data Center Technical Facility Engineer Job Requirements

Your profile:

• You have at least completed a MBO program (biased technical training);
• You have demonstrable experience as a maintenance technician , facility manager or service engineer ;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;
• You are a service and solution ;
• You are prepared to rotating shifts and 24 hours in the future services ;
• You have experience in project management ;
• You are motivated and flexible;
• You will be based in Amsterdam and is occasionally broadcast to Enschede and Zwolle possible

Full time, 40 hours per week.
