PC COMPATIBILITY SPECIALIST (M/F) Job Description

As a PC Compatibility Specialist (m/f), you will ensure the highest quality of compatibility for our PC games. We are looking for an experienced all-rounder that has in-depth knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, and their effect on game compatibility. This is a new role within in our QA department and the successful candidate will be involved in setting up a PC compliance lab and defining the compliance strategy and processes.

YOUR JOB:

• Help create and maintain internal PC guidelines and ensure that all our titles adhere to this standard
• Ensure that PC products are compatible with all supported hardware and peripherals
• Check our games against various operating systems (Windows XP to latest version and Mac OS) and their respective updates, including language coverage
• Provide regular reports detailing overall compliance level and concerns
• Be aware of up-and-coming PC technologies or changes that could affect PC compatibility and communicate any potential risks to stakeholders

PC COMPATIBILITY SPECIALIST (M/F) Job Requirements

YOUR PROFILE:

• Several years of testing experience, ideally in gaming or a similar industry
• High level of quality awareness, skilled at analyzing problems and utilizing relevant knowledge
• In-depth technical understanding, very good knowledge of MS Office, basic knowledge of game mechanics and of browser and mobile apps, and ideally basic programming knowledge as well 
• Very good written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage
• A valid work and residence permit is required prior to commencement of employment
