Power Electronics Engineer Job Description

The successful candidate will play a significant role in the specification, design and integration of innovative customer specific switch mode power supply units to the end customer.

You will be working in a small team of engineers from varying backgrounds including SMPS, power electronics, mechanical, software, PCB etc. You will be responsible for the full development cycle from R&D, design and development, preparing technical documentation, ISO standards/procedures and EMC/safety regulations, all based on customer requests.

Power Electronics Engineer Job Requirements

Background
BSc or MSc in (Analog) Electronics engineering with 2+ years experience in switch mode power supply design, test and integration.

You have gained experience with:
• Analogue hardware design for power supply units, based on customer requirements
• Understanding of various SMPS technologies
• Hardware integration with embedded electronics
• Knowledge of EMC standards
• Knowledge of low ripple and low drift analogue applications
• Knowledge of programming in Embedded software
• Experience with methods as FMEA, DFA / DFM


Personal Skills
The candidate should be able to combine technical focus with commercial awareness. Should be an excellent communicator with fluent communication skills in English. Ability to take leadership in internal and external relationship building, understand both political and commercial sensitivity, a strong motivator.
