The Business Information Analyst (for Design&Engineering) is accountable for Design&Engineering (D&E) and Product Generation Process (PGP) related business intelligence (BI) activities within the Business Intelligence Competence Center (BICC).

Job Description • 

The Business Information Analyst acts as a central contact and subject matter expert within the ICT organization for D&E related business intelligence activities (migration of D&E custom-made reporting towards the ASML enterprise data warehouse, demands for flexible reporting and analysis including predictive analytics and statistical modeling, etc.) •

Works proactively with/leads BI developers to ensure accurate delivery of new applications in the SAP BI landscape according to the guidelines and best practices. You are the link between the ASML D&E Department, the IT organization and the outsourcing partners. • 

Assesses, changes and refines business reporting requirements and related information systems to continuously increase their effectiveness and ensures they are properly aligned with the company's strategic direction, the BI strategy and the other relevant business functions.• 

Manages transition from projects (new developments) to support (run and maintain) by checking all documentation and knowledge transfer by the project teams before go-live. • 

Provides general feedback and improvement proposals, attunement of implementation planning, hands-on assistance, problem solving and reporting requirements.• 
Deploys the newly developed BI functionality, including providing training to (key) users

Context of the position

The Business Information Analyst is part of the Business Intelligence Competence Center within the Competence Center Corporate Support.He/she reports to the BICC manager and has internal interfaces with D&E (key) users and stakeholders, Business Information Analysts of other functional areas, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects and Tibco Spotfire developers and members of the (offshore) Business Intelligence support organization.

•Bachelors or master's degree in Information Technology or Engineering

Experience• 

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in business intelligence with strong focus on R&D reporting (for D&E part) and/or project execution (for PGP-part) • 
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP Business Warehouses is a must, preferably including SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects and/or Tibco Spotfire• Common understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse approach and basic technological knowledge to challenge proposed solutions. • 
• Ability to document “as is” and “to be” business intelligence requirements and to assist development of business cases in the area of D&E and PGP.• 
• Experience in translation of information requirements into system requirements.• 
• Knowledge of predictive analytics and statistical modeling
