High Potential Product Specialist for Ink Media Interactions
Translating knowledge into design parameters, models and solutions, and ensuring successful delivery to product development projects
Your job
You are challenged to identify, acquire and develop knowledge, implement successful solutions and models, and provide design parameters for product development. You support product development projects and teams on topics in the field of interactions between inks and (non-adsorbing and adsorbing) substrates. One of the most important parameters in these phenomena is measuring surface tension (of both ink and substrate) and droplet behavior on media.
In order to support projects successfully you develop in-depth expertise in mechanisms and processes related to wetting, spreading and coalescence of inks, and its behavior in relation to substrates. You define and lead explorations by having and conveying a vision, creating and sharing knowledge, and collaborate intensively with external institutes and partners.
You translate acquired (internal and external) knowledge into tools, models and solutions, which can be used for model based design for new applications and printing equipment during product development. Together with product developers you ensure successful delivery and embedding in projects. You challenge product development teams on requirements.

Department
Part of our Research & Development organization, the department Analysis & Prototyping Support (± 50 employees) contributes to product developments and research subjects from an expertise point of view. The department houses several specialist measurement techniques, develops and ensures sufficient knowledge on crucial subjects related to printing technologies and maintains relations with external (research) partners. Within this department you are part of the Materials in Action team, focusing on the dynamic behavior of the materials in printing processes.

Who are we looking for?
• You have a Master degree or PhD in Physics or related
• You recently graduated or you have a couple of years experience; you have relevant working or internship experience, experience with working in projects is required. Or you have been involved in extracurricular activities during your study. Experience with leading a (small) team is a plus
• Proven affinity for modeling and/or experimental research is required
• You are strong in translating (external) knowledge into solutions/models and ensuring successful implementation by conveying a vision and inspire, convince and motivate stakeholders. Externally focused, having an outside-in approach
• You speak up by showing a lot of initiative and drive. Strong organizing and decision making skills and pragmatic with an analytical view
• Excellent communication skills in English – verbal and written. Profound knowledge of Dutch is a plus
• Reside in the Netherlands or nearby Venlo
