Job Mission
To ensure that processes within the warehouse are implemented effectively and efficiently. The Team Leader leads a team within Material-Intake & Contamination Control (MICC) and wand tasks to focus on achieving and operational objectives within an operational team and reports to the sr. Team leader.
Job Description
• Leading a team, organizing adequate staffing and a productive working atmosphere within his/her own team in order to guarantee the required level of flexibility. Providing instructions and offering support with regard to the warehouse activities and monitoring the execution of these. Delegating the tasks within the team, setting priorities, ensuring that all tasks are carried out correctly and in good time and resolving bottlenecks.
• Quality: Responsible for the quality of the delivered output. Contributing in proposing improvements and participating in PIT (process improvement teams) meetings, e.g. supporting and supervising and making any amendments to cleaning codes.
• Planning/Output: Managing and implementing the necessary shift planning, within the scope of the Production Plan and the capacities available, taking into account the necessary level of flexibility, the agreed standard of quality and reliability of delivery. Solving problems, setting priorities, ensuring that operational objectives are achieved within the shift. Informing those involved in the event of deviations. Also maintaining Soft Brick/leave schedule, etc.
• Continuous Improvement: Supporting the sr. Team Leader in achieving improvement processes. Involvement in Initiating and coordinating improvement proposals incl. actions required and supporting the Sr. Team Leader in achieving improvements, including 5+1S. Making proposals for improving processes and managing 8D initiatives.
• Production equipment: Ensuring that equipment is managed and used correctly, indicating when adaptation is necessary.
• Knowledge & Skills: Supporting the Sr.Team Leader in ensuring sufficient transfer of knowledge and providing guidance within the team (skills & training matrix).
• Individual Performance Management: Setting personal targets for your team, regularly evaluating their performance, both for payroll and flex hires and passing these to the sr.Team Leader of MICC Department concerned.
• Collaboration: Contributing towards effective collaboration with other WH Departments, Material Handling, Production Planning, Material Planning, LSP and other Departments.
BSc in a technical or logistical area (or MBO+ with managerial training).
Experience
• Experience in warehousing processes and complexity;
• Experience as team leader in warehouse and production environment;
• SAP. Personal skills
• Level of knowledge equivalent to intermediate vocational education, in a logistical field
• Affinity with other skills/business processes
• Enterprising, goal-oriented, flexible and customer-oriented
• Analytical ability, able to structure his/her tasks
• Service-oriented, good communication skills, team builder.
• Able to manage change within his team, team builder
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English language.
Other Information
• During working times the employee needs to wear cleanroom suits in the cleanroom.
• The candidate might need to follow several courses.
• The employee may need to work in shifts. Willingness to work in 2 shifts is required.
• When employees work in shifts they will receive Shift allowance.
