(Embedded) Software Engineer Job Description

For the Electrical Systems department we are looking for an ambitious automotive embedded system architect for a new generation vehicle system platform. This platform consist of an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and System software concept which will be leading for the development of several individual ECU's. On this platform new generations vehicle functions will be implemented.

For this vehicle platform you will be responsible for the:
• Definition of ECU hardware & basic software architecture requirements & guidelines
• Definition of integration plans and hardware and software testing concepts
• Maintenance, improvement and extension of the platform architecture
• Development and rollout of necessary processes and tools for the rollout and use of the platform
• Support of the use of the platform in customer projects
• Cooperation with E/E vehicle and application SW architects to help conceptualize the best mix of E/E hardware and SW solutions

(Embedded) Software Engineer Job Requirements

Function profile
• Relevant technical education on Bachelor/Master level
• Fluent English language - effective communication in both verbal and written form
• Strong interpersonal skills, especially listening and synthesizing
• Ability to collaborate across different groups having varying levels of expertise and skill
• Experience in automotive platform development, including automotive safety architecture and standards (ISO 26262)
• Good knowledge regarding automotive microprocessors, automotive basic software architectures, communication protocols and diagnostic concepts
• Experience with real time embedded operating systems
• Experience with model based software development
