In the role of Oracle DBA you will:
- Manage Oracle databases (create, patch, upgrade, maintain objects and performance tune) in Unix and Linux physical and virtual environments with ASM and DataGuard.
- Manage configuration and provisioning of databases using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager
The ideal candidate for the role of Oracle DBA should have:
- Broad experience managing Oracle databases on Unix and Linux platforms.
- Experience using Enterprise Manager/Grid Control to manage many Oracle databases.
- Ability to configure, provision, create, patch and upgrade using automated processes.
- Programming skills with PL/SQL, Shell Scripting (Kornshell, Powershell etc), Perl
- Skills with RMAN & DataGuard.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English. (Any other Scandinavian languages – Danish, Swedish or Norwegian would be nice to have but is not essential).
