Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Offshore Job Description
For one of our clients we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer. Our client is an international marine company which is a specialist in offshore constructions. Due to the further growth of the order portfolio of our client they need to expand their engineering department.
In this roll your responsibilities consist of all the technical, requirements and planning of E&I contracts. You will also be the right-hand of the manager engineering and project managers during the entire project, in which you will have the technical expertise.
- Up to date knowledge of all the projects within your responsibility;
- Supervise, control and optimize deliverables form other engineers;
- Accountable for all delivery of reports needed for the project (requirements analysis, purchase and contracts);
- Work according to the procedures and guidelines given by the clients;
- Responsible for interfacing with subco’s, suppliers and clients in the offshore sector;
- Prepare work, define scope, order materials, calculate and plan staff;
- Your workweek will vary from work in the office and work on-site onboard of a platform (willingness to travel and life aboard a platform is compulsory).
Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Offshore Job Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
- BSc. in Electrical Engineering, or similar;
- Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in the project engineering of oil and gas / offshore projects;
- Experience with preparation, engineering and construction of E&I projects within the offshore sector;
- Relevant experience in Project Engineering;
- Fluent in English;
- Willing to travel internationally (to a offshore platform and be away from home for the period of 4 weeks at a time);
