EGSE Responsible (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) Job Description

For one of our clients we are currently looking for an EGSE Responsible (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) for their location in Bremen, Germany. Our client is one of the top players in the European space technology industry offering solutions for satellites, scientific payloads and aerospace/ aviation structures.
 
 
Tasks and Responsibilities
As an EGSE Responsible your tasks will consist of the evaluation of requirements for the EGSE in cooperation with system engineering, the design and definition of EGSE and the establishment of a validation plan (DDV-Plan). You will also be responsible for reporting to the customer within milestone reviews, participation in reviews with the suppliers and support of the procurement process, mainly for technical issues. Other responsibilities include preparation of specifications, involvement in the acceptance process, planning and execution of system acceptance and system integration and the training of AIT personnel for EGSE usage.

EGSE Responsible (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) Job Requirements

Experience and education

• A degree in electrical engineering, aerospace technology, physics or comparable qualification;
• At least some years of experience in satellite AIT or EGSE use;
• Knowledge of ECSS standards for testing and verification of software and hardware;
• Knowledge about Spacecraft Central Checkout Systems (CCS), preferably running under SCOS 2000 Version 3.1 (TOPE), are an asset;
• Experience in EGSE validation;
• High motivation and commitment to the project;
• Used to tough project targets and challenges;
• Well-developed communication skills and hands-on mentality;
• Excellent conceptual and analytical skills;
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
