Structural Analysis/Verification Engineer Job Description

For one of our clients we are currently looking for a Structural Analysis/Verification Engineer for their location in Germany. Our client is one of the top players in the European space technology industry offering solutions for satellites, scientific payloads and space structures.
 
The company is currently working on major European satellite development and manufacturing programs. For one of these programs you will be working for the structures department on several projects. This is a seriously inspiring challenge, where you will work with different teams, with like-minded professionals, developing solutions to exciting problems.
 
Tasks & Responsibilities

• Analyse, optimize and verify satellite structures using the "Finite Element" method;
• Generate and maintain documentation such as specifications, analysis reports as well as testing procedures and reports;
• Supervise and manage subcontractors;
• Support satellite projects from the proposal phase until the launch campaign;
• Present the results of your work to customers.

Structural Analysis/Verification Engineer Job Requirements

Experience and education

• A degree in engineering with a major in mechanical engineering or comparable qualifications;
• Several years of professional experience in structural verifications, ideally in the area of satellite technology;
• Proven experience in using “Finite Element” calculation programs, ideally NASTRAN and HyperMesh;
• Experience in VA-ONE (RAYON) vibro-acoustic simulation system will be an advantage;
• Confident in negotiations with customers and willing to travel;
• You are flexible and able to adjust quickly to your new duties;
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
