Xelvin is a specialist in the seconding of enterprising engineers. Xelvin owes its success to one important operating principle: it offers candidates and companies the power of freedom that comes from being able to make a conscious choice.
By being an open organization in which sincerely interested people enjoy a healthy amount of freedom, Xelvin forms a bond of trust that enables people to make conscious choices on their own. Not premeditated choices or ready-made choices that are generated by up-front efficiency processes, but choices that are based on a set of unique factors and could not have been made in any other way. Choices that candidates and companies can, in all honesty, call their own.
Department
The department for Mechatronics is responsible for the specification, design, integration and qualification of the mechatronics sub-systems and components which are fitted into end products. The main focus of the department is on intelligent motion control of high speed components. Control engineering, dynamics, actuator design, position measurement systems and material handling are part of this department’s main competences.
Job Mission
To contribute to the development of the system’s dynamic architecture by specification, design, technical budget analysis, critical component selection, integration & test planning and test execution of mechatronic components or subsystems. This includes modeling of the system’s dynamics and translation into controller design specifications.
Job Description
Specification and design of mechatronics (sub)modules with focus on the system’s dynamic architecture. Work in multidisciplinary project teams on the systems design, qualification and components selection by finding trade-offs between mechanical, electronic, software competencies within the various departments. Integration and test of overall dynamic performance of the system, following the process from planning to execution. Documentation of system specification, design and test analysis results.
Educational Level
Technical University Masters or PhD degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mechanical engineering. Experience (5-10 years) in theoretical and practical experience with modeling of dynamic systems. Specialist knowledge of dynamic systems and basic knowledge of control theory, position measurement and actuator systems. Experience in multi disciplinary project work involving mechatronics, electronics and software within high tech industry is an advantage.
The candidate should be able to work independently in a dynamic and explorative environment, take responsibility, act decisively and show critical sense of high quality and consciousness of costs. Should be able to work in multidisciplinary project teams.
Personal Skills
Should have strong analytical skills with a pragmatic attitude and the ability to design on a high quality level and conscious of costs. Good communicational skills and good knowledge of English.
