Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Job Description

• Responsible for the basic design (basic design) for instrumentation, including P & ID development, instrument block diagram, instrument data sheets and IO lists;
• Making the basic design (basic design) of the electrical installation, including electrical load balance study, harmonic study, electrical block diagram, short-circuit and cable calculations;
• In collaboration with partners, making the detailed design (detailed design), including wiring diagrams and instrument hook-ups;
• In collaboration with partners, making the detailed design (detailed design) including wiring diagrams, cable routing diagrams, lighting plans, grounding layouts;
• Specification and selection of instruments, such as field devices and analyzers;
• Specification and selection of electrical systems and components, such as motors, lighting, electric heating and process piping (heat tracing), junction boxes and control panels;
• Specification and selection of process control and safeguarding systems, including PLCs, DCS, SIS systems and associated network components;
• Specification and selection of electrical control and monitoring systems, including MCCs (Motor Control Centre), UPS, thyristor controllers for electric heaters (heaters), VSD controls;
• Collaborate with suppliers and partners for matching interfaces in the field of instrumentation and electrical interfaces;
• Point of contact for the customer for technical questions and participation in meetings, including HAZOP, SIL assessment;
• Technical support to the project team in the procurement of instrumentation and electrical components and procurement of the installation work and inspection activities;
• Support in the assembly and commissioning of the system at the customer.

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree or University education, technical background;
• At least 5 years relevant experience;
• Experience in the oil & gas industry;
• Excellent communicative and social skills;
• Fluency and English is a must;
• Knowledge of Dutch and European regulations concerning ATEX/SIL guidelines is a plus
