Laser Specialist (PhD or MSc)
Job Description
You will play a key role within a multidisciplinary team that delivers one or more laser systems. Main responsibilities: define solution for challenges of the involved CO2 laser system, define laser system requirements and translate this to laser sub functions, manage that supplier of laser system understands and delivers the intended functionality, define and execute functional test of the laser system, give inputs to interfacing projects (optical modules, system control), lead the analysis of complex phenomena related to the involved laser system. Education
MSc or PhD Physics or related with focus on lasers and optics. Experience in a multi-disciplined design task related to lasers and optical modules for laser applications. Knowledge of robust design of laser systems and the functional control of these system is must
Personal skills
Team player with excellent communication and writing skills in English. Customer focus, both analytical and practical skills, flexible attitude and commitment are key for this role. Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude, perfect communicational skills and good knowledge of English, able to display a “helicopter”-view, meticulous, perseverance, pro active, creative, can manage multiple projects at the same time, very good ability to handle stress and dealing with deadlines, flexible.
