German Product Specialist Job Description

AppNexus are looking for a Product Specialist who is fluent in German in our London office, to be part of our Global Services team (a team of multi-skilled, passionate, consultative problem solvers dedicated to making our customers amazingly successful while building a world class company together).
 
The AppNexus Product Specialist maintains a single-minded focus on ensuring that customers are incredibly satisfied with AppNexus platform.  This entails imparting deep product expertise, highly responsive and professional communication, creative problem solving, and effective coordination of internal resources.
 
This role is perfect for someone who is fluent in German, has a quantitatively-oriented degree from a top-tier university but also has work experience, is comfortable with SQL, JavaScript, and relational databases, and loves to put their deep analytical skills to provide technical support for customers by solving complex problems.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide post-implementation product support to AppNexus customers, primarily our customers in Germany
• Manage customer support cases on a daily basis, which includes verifying cases, analyzing data, isolating and diagnosing the problem, and resolving the issue where possible
• Coordinate with Product Management and Engineering teams in identifying, reporting, and resolving product issues
• Author, edit, publish and maintain an on-line knowledge base of known issues/solutions
• Share knowledge with Client Services team members

German Product Specialist Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Passionate about working in an extremely fast-paced, demanding, and fluid start-up environment
• Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role is required; a Technical Support role is preferred
• Outstanding written communication skills
• Tenacious commitment to finding the root cause of issues
• Fluency in German & English

• Internet technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, web servers, and other internet/networking-related protocols
• SQL scripting and relational databases (MySQL in particular)
• APIs, particularly RESTful is helpful
