Responsible for the structural design and analysis of all projects taken on by the Engineering Department. Involvement ranges from the bidding state to the installation stage. Design, analyze, develop, and test all aspects of structural components including the structural analysis and design of curtain wall components, and mockup drawing specifications. Delegates and supervises the tasks of subordinate engineers (Structural Engineer (Engineer-in-Training). Review, analyze, and test materials for which vendors guarantee proper structural integrity. These materials include, glass, operable windows, doors, vents, etc. Review all submittal documents (show drawings, inserts, anchors, etc.) made by the Project Technicians for conformance with structural design intent and make revisions if necessary. Design, analyze, develop, and test all constructional aids used for
projects, such as: lifting platforms, storage racks, trolleys, rigs, etc.. Provide job site support during the installation phase and resolve any issues with the project’s structural integrity. Responsible for the signing and sealing of all submittal documents and structural calculation.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 3-5 years Experience.
Knowledge & Skills:
Must have knowledge of structural design codes and standards for aluminum, steel, concrete, ASDM, etc.. Must be able to perform tasks using STAAD.PRO and MATCAD for structure analysis; using STRAND 7 for more complex structures. Must be able to complete any documents, calculations, or drawings.
