Job Description  

Are you an experienced electrical engineer with substantial knowledge within low frequency EMC? If so, you could be our new electrical engineer within the EMC engineering department in Danfoss Power Electronics. We are responsible for handling all EMC aspects in the design and development phase and are involved in international EMC standardisation activities. We have strong design tools and test facilities in-house and you can look forward to join a highly technical and inspiring environment.

Design and development of EMC compliant products

As electrical engineer your overall focus will be to ensure that our products are in compliance with international low frequency EMC standards as well as internal quality requirements. More specifically you:  

• Participate in product development projects, from start to finish, by:
  • Specifying low frequency (LF) EMC requirements on product level
  • Reviewing product concept and hardware design
  • Defining LF test methods and executing LF engineering tests such as harmonic emission, flicker and voltage unbalance tests
  • Validating LF test results and anticipating technical risks 

• Participate in international EMC standardisation work
• Perform troubleshooting and mitigation of LF EMC noise problems at customer sites, for example solving problems related to bad power quality  

Electrical Engineer – Low Frequency EMC Job Requirements

Analytic electrical engineer with solid practical experience

• You hold a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Moreover, you have at least five years’ practical experience with development of electronics, preferably power electronics.
• Besides, you have working knowledge within low frequency EMC meaning defining LF requirements as well as testing/analysis and has in-dept knowledge about power installations (e.g. transformers).
• You thrive working in teams and have an outgoing and positive attitude. Moreover, you act proactively and have an ability to spot potential problems in due time.
• Your strong communication skills enable you to navigate between different organisational levels. Last, you are proficient in written and spoken English.
