The engineering bid supervisor will coordinate, monitor and progress the on time delivery of assorted projects or products using Primavera P6 and Primavera P6 web, To achieve this, it is necessary to create and maintain accurate data, and work with the relevant engineers to ensure the timely completion.

Essential Responsibilities

• Working to GE Oil and Gas procedures, the engineering bid supervisor is responsible for liaising with all relevant engineering discipline managers throughout the bid lifecycle. 
• Full technical understanding and scope definition against Contract and Bid planning specifications. 
• Attend Planning / project review meetings as necessary, ensuring all required support has been identified. 
• Responsible for the obtaining and co-ordinating of all information and data needed to ensure that engineering project and product plans are accurately created for tender. 
• Responsible for the preparation of and gaining commitment to engineering plans. Particular responsibility for identifying issues which if not resolved may impact their execution.

• Achieve engineering plan time-scales and provide status feedback. 
• Coordinate requirements across projects / products 
• Ownership and Maintenance of engineering bid plans 
• Preparing and reporting any required Primavera information to all levels of the business 
• Working with the bid department to review planning contractual requirements 
• Focal point for all bid/ variation order workflows 
• Working with the Engineering director to obtain hour and date sign off on all Engineering activities 
• Creating Primavera bid plans for all ‘in forecast’ projects on the company forecast register 
• Producing resource capacity charts from Primavera to show backlog/ forecast by discipline 
• Attending monthly capacity meetings with the site leader to advise Engineering availability 
• Monthly reporting of capacity in many different formats including PowerPoint presentations 
• Tracking development of new projects and handover to Engineering planning team at point of order 
• Reporting project engineering performance for on time delivery, Hrs Spend V’s Budget.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be computer literate including MS Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint. 
• Experience/ in-depth knowledge of contract planning specifications 
• Proven years of advanced Primavera experience 
• Ability to communicate at all levels across all disciplines using both verbal and written English. 
• Must possess strong people and conflict management skills as well as being pro-active in ensuring engineers are supplying required information correctly and on time 
• Must be capable of prioritising, multi-tasking and working to agreed schedules.

• An understanding of the workings of, and the differences to, of the three engineering disciplines (software, electrical, Mechanical) would be advantageous.
