IP/MPLS Core Network Architect Job Description

MISSION
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you manage the development of the WIS IP/MPLS core network in order to support the activity and the strategic goals of the company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Extension and improvement of the IP/MPLS Core Network;
• Act as 3rd level support for complex problems;
• Provide technical expertise for non-standard customer projects;
• Support the development of new IP/MPLS based services and products;
• Follow up technical evolution in this domain of competences.

IP/MPLS Core Network Architect Job Requirements

SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS

• Degree in Engineering (civil or industrial) with an experience of minimum 3 years in the telecom industry;
•  Advanced knowledge of IP, MPLS and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS);
• Knowledge of Juniper and Cisco routers is a plus;
• Basic System Knowledge (Windows/Linux);
• Knowledge of international carrier business and GSM network is a plus;
• Familiar with a project approach (planning, follow up, communication…);
• MS Office (Including Visio and MS Project);
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English. Italian and French are a strong asset;
• Team player, analytical spirit, open minded, problem solver and customer oriented;
• Sensitive to various cultures and able to work in an international environment.
