Head of Chemical Process Engineering-BRA00003046 Job Description

To establish and lead a Chemical Process Engineering group and laboratory within CPRD.
Key focus areas will be to build capabilities (modeling/simulation as well as laboratory) in order to support the scale-up and industrialization of processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates.These are envisioned to be key components in initiatives to for increased process understanding and Quality by Design.

In order to accomplish this, the group will be expected to design and/or execute laboratory and computer studies to support the overall CPE and CPRD efforts. The Head may also be required to lead and manage specific development programs or parts thereof.

Head of Chemical Process Engineering-BRA00003046 Job Requirements

• Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering
• Min. 8 years industrial experience in pharmaceutical or similar setting is required, and Experience managing a group and projects is desirable.
• Requires In-depth experience with modeling/simulation of processes, equipment and operations as well as with laboratory experimentation
• Should have proven track record in scale-up of chemical processes
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments, Quality by Design and GMPs is essential.
