Your challenge
The Senior Research Support Team Lead provides leadership on technological competence of and operational execution by the OLED research support team. Is key process owner for specific processes, related to the (flexible) OLED technology specialization and maintains and extends knowledge and experience of this state-of-the-art technology.
Your responsibilities
Determines, in consultation with management, the team’s objectives and lays down the division of responsibilities.
Coaches team members and stimulates the team to deliver superior technological support in line with the need of the customer and the policy of the organization.
Co-ensures that there is appropriate personnel management as regards to manpower, education and training within the team and advises on subcontracting and hire of temporary employees.
Co-ensures that there are adequate resources and tools at the proper time.
Maintains internal business processes within the team and ensures that there is an appropriate quality level.
Is co-responsible for achieving the operational plans.
Advises on the competence and tool investment roadmap for the OLED research support operation.
Ensures that there is a good operational alignment with the needs of the customer of the research support service.
Has a prominent technological role in concept creation work in the field of (flexible) OLEDs and is recognized as competence leader within his/her internal and external network.
Impacts decisions on the direction of research projects on the basis of his/her knowledge, skills and experience.
Has engineering responsibility for part of the dedicated OLED processing related infrastructure, equipment and processes.
Pro-actively communicates with all stakeholders, including clients, senior management, professional network and colleagues.
Complies with the ESH policy, rules and regulations.
Your team
The R&D group is responsible for research support and process development with the emphasis on the realization of integral (flowchart) solutions in the application fields of MEMS, NEMS, sensors, actuators, switches, harvesters for lighting, medical and semiconductor applications.
· A Master or Bachelor Degree in technical sciences. Experience in scientific or industrial research on (flexible) OLEDs. Broad technological base including understanding of background of OLED device architecture and OLED related technologies.
· Knowledge of and experience in business processes within a concept creation environment.
· Knowledge of and experience in directing and motivating people; coaching skills required.
· Quality-conscious, aware of the need for a good working atmosphere.
· Loyal, reliable, and representative.
· Inspiring confidence, ability to inspire and empathize.
· Communicative in all layers of the organization, orally and in writing.
· Result-oriented, business-minded.
· Knowledge of ― and experience in ― the use of primary tools (DOE, SPC, Problem Solving, Teamwork, etc.)
