The business unit Services offers ship owners an optimal service by carrying out maintenance and repair work. Furthermore, we also offer a variety of electro technical services, and we are active in the fields of inspection and automation.

Position description

As a Service Engineer International Propulsion you will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, reconditioning and repair (complete) Ship propulsion systems on mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and controls. The ship's propulsion system consists of controllable pitch propellers, water jets, thrusters and transverse thrusters and associated operating systems. In addition to performing key work give you hands-on technical advice and perform inspections. You can work independently, but are also able to lead groups of their own employees and contractors during scheduled maintenance or repair. You are also the contact for the Service Coordinator and the client and get the job after a thorough report. We ask if the willingness to travel, irregular working hours and a few consecutive weeks abroad to work.

Requirements

• Marine Engineer, mechanical or Electrical on a Bachelor level 
• Work experience preferably with Ship Electrical and Controls or equivalent experience in industrial environment. 
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay abroad. 
• (+ / - 200 days a year abroad)  
• Leadership skills. 
• Open and accessible attitude in communication. 
• Experience with MS Office. 
• Spoken and written Dutch and English has to be good. 
• Knowledge of other modern languages is a plus.
