With over 20 years experience the company, a leading global pharmaceutical company who works within niche therapeutic areas, is seeking a senior clinical scientist to join their team as they expand rapidly.

Job Responsibilities

• The SCS will be responsible for the planning, implementation, execution and management of clinical research studies within the CNS therapeutic areas.
• Manage the clinical outsourcing operations to CROs and other vendors such as IVRs, labs, IRBs, etc.
• Responsible for the protocol writing & design, ICFs and study related plans developed by the business.
• The SCS will manage the financial and budgetary aspects of the study, and have to ensure everything is running to timelines

Senior Clinical Scientist – CNS Job Requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally life sciences, or nursing qualification is required.
• Generally varied experience in clinical research within a pharmaceutical company or CRO or similar organization.
• Must be able to create protocols, informed consents and study related plans.
• Working knowledge of project management software or tools.
• Proven ability to manage and communicate effectively with research vendors including negotiating contracts, reviewing request for proposals, analysing scope of work, responding to inquiries and complaints.
• Experience of working on CNS studies is essential.
• Experience in financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to establish priorities schedule and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and complete tasks to deadlines.
• Ability to work successfully within a cross-functional team and a matrix organisation.
• Displays a high level of professionalism with vendors, external contacts and individuals at all levels of the organization.
