Power Development Engineer Job Description
Would you like to put your technical knowledge to the test and find the best new product development solutions in cooperation with our costumers? Then you could be the new Power Development Engineer we are looking for. By joining Danfoss Power Electronics’ Customised Projects Department, you become instrumental in transforming costumer needs into competitive solutions. Our business is characterised by a high growth rate by offering customised products to large, international OEM companies. Instrumental in every phase of product development You will enter a dynamic project organisation where all of our technology development follows a natural progression through three levels: “idea”, “concept” and “product”. You will be involved in all phases of the product development – from initial concepts and basic technology to volume production.
In detail, your tasks will be to:
- Be part of an integrated product development team
- design power circuits (inverter, SMPS, filters, AFE and PFC)
- coordinate development activities
- make technical assessments in initial project phases
- engage in technical discussions with suppliers
- select and develop technology and topology in cooperation with our customers
You will have ample opportunity to impact the future solutions as the results are achieved in direct contact with our customers.
The position entails 10-20 days of travel per year.
Power Development Engineer Job Requirements
- Structured team player with a customer-oriented mindset.
- You are an experienced Power Electronics Engineer and therefore conversant using simulation tools for analysis, design and construction.
- You thrive on working with customers to create the solutions that meet their needs and requirements. In addition to having an open and honest attitude, you are the team player who facilitates knowledge sharing with colleagues.
- You have a mind for business and a sense for creating results, and you rely on your strong interpersonal skills to build customer relations.
- With a structured approach to your work, you plan and prioritise all of your tasks to meet the deadlines while adhering to budget and without compromising on quality.
- You have a solid command of written and spoken English.
