Job Summary: 

This position is about leading a team of 12 CAD analysts in EMEA, the US and Mexico. The team plans, implements, trains and supports deployments of CAD tools to our global users in the company with our mainstream CAD Systems Creo and AutoCAD. However, we also manage a set of specialized CAD applications such as SpaceClaim, Keyshot and a variety of CAM tools. 
The teamlead also has functional supervision over the CAD team in Asia that is part of our global CAD implementation and support structure. Interesting challenges for this and future years are the implementation of Creo 2, the implementation of Windchill 10, BOM functionality in the design phase and the transformation of TE from a drawing to a model centric company using Model Based Definition approaches.  

Primary Responsibilities: 

1. Provisioning CAD applications to engineering workstations and ensuring continuous availability of licenses and support.
2. Managing a service level objective to balance customer satisfaction, services, cost, utilization and helpdesk ticket trends.
3. Lead regional and/or global implementations projects.
4. Maintain Business Unit awareness of GES supported CAD tools and services highlighting underutilized and high impact tools through organized technical awareness campaigns.
5. Manage key user meetings at various sites/countries to keep relations with our valued user base.
6. Act as an internal “consultant” concerning the use of Creo. Promote the use of Creo and educate users/management on its benefits and limitations. Position the use of 3D and 2D (Creo vs. AutoCAD).
7. Plan and manage the collaboration with our internal service organization in India.
8. Active Engagement in the transformation process from a 2D drawing centric to a 3D model centric company.
9. Participate in the planning processes for our global engineering systems of which CAD is a key component.
10. Managing the development of key add on’s in Creo and other CAD systems that provide our users a competitive advantage.

Required:

• Leadership skills in leading functional groups or managing teams.
• Proficiency with Creo or a similar 3D CAD system
• PDMLink knowledge/experience or similar Product Data Management system
• Engineering process skills and experience
• Motivated, customer focused, results oriented
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and knowledge required with minimum of 5 years consultant or engineering experience.
