European Business Process owner - Purchasing & Supply Chain
The position will be based in the European HQ located in Brussels, Belgium. (possible flexibility for other countries, 30% travel).
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As the European Business Process Owner (BPO) – Purchasing & Supply Chain you will own the end–to–end Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes across the various functions within Europe. Further you will be the subject matter expert on Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes in the roll out of the ERP Project.
As single point for decisions across the entire business scenario, your typical decision authority will include:
- final process design and key performance indicators
- Accountable for successful implementation of the common processes across the company
- Accountable for achieving process business benefits
- Final decisions point on when local processes are appropriate
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive decisions and resolve conflicting views and requirements between the strategic business units to ensure that a single harmonized process is implemented in the Organization with relation to Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes
- Identify areas for coordination, reconcile gaps, and resolve conflicting requirements across the key projects that are a part of the Purchasing & Supply Chain domain. These projects include but may not be limited to ERP.
- Be a key voice in defining the business requirements relating to Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes
- Be involved in the testing and sign off phases of any new systems ensuring the results are in line with the business processes defined
- Provide guidance with regards to systems data conversation within your areas of responsibility
- Escalate conflicts in a timely fashion to the appropriate Executive Leadership in the company.
- Be the process coordinator and liaison to the major program initiatives for Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes interfaces.
- Once process is developed and approved, establish and lead appropriate on-going process governance for the Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes.
- Engage Local countries in dialogue for improvements and problem solving
- Drive Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes alignment across Europe geographies
- Drive Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes efficiencies across Europe geographies
- Be a key member of the ERP, Distribution and Salesforce.com European Project team
- Provide Training as necessary on Purchasing & Supply Chain Processes

PROFILE
- Strong experience as manager for several years in a Pan European / Global Supply Chain Environment, and within a distributed service business
- Demonstrated Project Management & Process Development experience and ability to understand complex business processes, being a key contributor to complex projects supporting their deliver to successful completion
- Demonstrated success in bringing about changes in an organization via consensus, building and influencing at all levels.
- Has clear understanding of business objectives, recognizes trade-offs and keeps decisions in balance with good judgment in line with the goals of the organization
- Experience of working in a complex international multi-cultural organization
- Strong interpersonal skills at all levels
- First class written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized, motivated , flexible, proactive, able to work on own initiative
- Ability to train teams of users in new ways of working
