Project Engineer Job Description

As a project engineer you are responsible for all the whole technical aspect of the special machinery and process installations. Besides that you are also responsible for the planning and budgeting of the projects. An important aspect of the function is that you design the concept of the installations and engineer the basics of the machines. You are also responsible for the directing of procurement, production, assembling and testing to make sure that the machine is compliant to the specifications.
The main activities are:

• (co-) Generating of the proposition conforming specifications of the client.   
• Edit a project plan including internal budgets and planning.
• Procurement of the devices, accompaniment of the manufacturing and accompaniment of the commissioning.  
• Managing the projects over the different compartments and external companies.
• Communication to the customer, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Making estimates to completion and budget forecasts.

Project Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Process engineering
• Experience in a coordination project in the process industry.
• Knowledge of the piping-industry.
• Knowledge of project management.  
• Good English skills, knowledge of the Dutch and German language are preferable.
• Prepared to make International business trips
• Character properties: self-starter, combination of technical and commercial skills, ability to adapt.
