Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

Tasks:
 

• You are part of a multidisciplinary team which defines, develops, and markets automated high tech equipment for the solar cell industry.
• Within this team you are responsible for the concept of the design of the products/systems.
• You will set up the design specifications (Functional Design Specification and Technical Design Specification) and determines the specifications of the materials and components.
• Ultimately you will design equipment parts with the available engineering tools within budget en project timing.
• You understand high tech equipment design and communicate efficiently with all other disciplines that are involved in the development of our machines (e.g. software, electrical and process engineering).

Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in production equipment development in a high tech industry.
• Degree (HTS, TU), in one of the following field: Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Takes responsibility for the team results and the mechanical TPD (Technical Product Documentation)
• Able to take the role of lead Engineer for a team of mechanical engineers

• Able to communicate efficiently with all stakeholders of a project
• Strong conceptual thinking skills and capable of putting these ideas into practice
• Affinity with mechatronic systems, motion and process related equipment
• Creative and hands on mentality
• Team player who is capable of driving the product design process.
• Fluent in Dutch and English in both speech and writing, preferably German.
