Our Client has built an award-winning, cutting-edge product for the academic market that spans all platforms and is quickly gaining global market share. Therefore they are looking for experienced .NET developer to join their growing team.
Their developers are strong team players that love building exceptional software for researchers. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the scientific field as well as a track record of developing elegant, user-focused software. You will take ownership of new and existing features, be involved in all parts of the app’s overall development from API design to implementation.
Key responsibilities
• Develop Windows based desktop software in C#. • Build a slid and reusable architecture with clean APIs. • Create powerful yet simple user interfaces.
Person Specification
Required Proven C# development experience. Lean, memory efficient, multi-core aware code which follows current best practices. Understanding of key MS frameworks such as WPF, XAML, WinForms. Bachelor's degree (2:1 or above), in Computer Sciences or equivalent Comfortable with MS developer tools and a decentralised version control system Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A passion for building elegant Windows based software.
Desired – one or more of
Experience with: C++ and/or Objective-C. SQLite. a common scripting language. Node.js or other asynchronous, event based web development framework. Machine learning techniques. A good understanding of researcher needs is a definitive plus: maybe you’ve worked in a research group or have research experience Research experience from a Master's or PhD level postgraduate degree
