Progressive is looking for a experienced Network Specialist to strengthen the client's team in Amsterdam.
This role is ideal for a creative and quality-focused network professional who wishes to immerse themselves into the fast pace of a successful and rapidly- growing/changing company.
The role:
Will be to ensure smooth network operation of remote offices and data center locations. The candidates efforts will be invested in maintaining the uptime targets through implementing, and improving existing network implementations. The candidate must possess planning skills and demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach towards completing your assignments.
Network engineering, and organizational skills are necessary. Due to rapid changes and the companys ambitious grown plans, a positive,calm, and winning attitude, and methodical approach is essential.
The candidate:
The candidate must be self-motivated, approachable, adaptable and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). The candidate will also needs to be enthusiastic about providing the best possible service. As documentation is an integral part of what we do, it will be a part of the role to document all work procedures and ensure that the information is shared across the global team, and the business.
Must have experience working in complex environments. The candidate should be able to work under pressure showing to be reliable and deliver on time on what has been agreed upon. This should include experience with working for an international company where the support teams are located in different parts of the world. Outside office hours support/responsibilities might be required for this role. Since the candidate will be interfacing with our offices overseas as well, this will be very important in this position.
Skills:
Next to the networking (routing/switching) skill, the candidate should have a (good) understanding of Firewalls,Windows and Linux. The candidate should have experienced in an certain extend setting up, monitoring, maintaining and administering networks. In addition, the candidate must be dedicated to the quality of his own work an co-workers work. Punctual about detail, and capable of working pro-actively and on his own initiative in carrying out his day-to-day responsibilities with limited supervision.
