Product Architect / Wire Harness Professional - 1346 Job Description
Job Duties:
Mentor’s Integrated Electrical System Division (IESD) develops Capital, a software suite used globally by OEMs and wire harness manufacturers to enhance their electrical distribution system (EDS) design and manufacturing flows.
We are recruiting an industry expert who will use domain and engineering experience and their professional skills to:
- develop product vision, roadmap and specifications
- communicate vision and technical product knowledge to colleagues around the world
- help customers to understand the value of and successfully deploy Capital
A key responsibility is to understand customer and market needs, and translate them into requirements to be implemented in the software. The appointee will develop technical collateral and present it to internal and external customers. Although UK-based, this job is worldwide in scope and will involve an amount of international travel. The successful candidate will develop deep Capital expertize with a strong focus on the harness design and manufacturing tools in multiple customer environment

Job Qualifications:
In addition to degree level qualifications, the candidate will have some of the following:
- EDS life-cycle experience from design to manufacture, for example as:
- Harness design / guest / liaison engineer
- Manufacturing process engineer
- EDS program manager
- Expert knowledge of computer-based tools for harness design and manufacture
- Strong customer-facing and relationship building skills
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Enthusiasm about technology couple with the ability to communicate in clear, business-oriented terms
