Doosan Power Systems is a multi-specialist energy services company operating in the thermal power, nuclear, petrochemical, oil & gas, and pharmaceutical industries.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Principal Piping Engineer to be based in our office in Renfrew. You will have extensive experience within the nuclear and conventional power sectors however candidates with experience in other industry sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical and pharmaceutical will also be considered.
You will be conducting detailed pipe modelling, stress analysis, supporting detailing flange and nozzle assessments ect.
Conducting verification of subcontractor design work, such as calculations, computer models and drawings.
Estimations of bills of quantities and site surveys in response to client enquires.
Knowledge of valve selection and requisitioning processes.
Working closely with function engineers, project mangers, construction engineers and the proposal teams from the client enquiry through to project implementation. With the ability to lead a team of engineers as required to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Knowledge of industry codes and practices, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME PBVC, BS EN13480, BS806, PED, PSSR etc.
Proficiency in one or more industry standard software suites such as PSA5, Caesar II, Autopipe ect.
Minimum Qualification
HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical engineering
Preferred Qualification
Mechanical Engineering Degree
Chartered Engineer
