Product Development & Application Chemist Job Description

• As Product Development & Application Chemist you are responsible for product and formula development. Next to the development of new (aerosol) formulas, you reformulate existing formulas and run the necessary application tests. To finalise your development work, you draft the final product specifications as well as technical specifications, and assist in the product implementation.
• In time, you will become one of our key executives: the R&D Manager, who guarantees the smooth running of R&D Projects. You will become responsible for the organisation and coordination of projects, from definition to introduction into the market. In this capacity you will set deadlines and product cost. You will be the focal point of contact for projects within the group.
• You render technical support to the sales & marketing, production and quality departments.
• You answer technical questions from the customers.

Product Development & Application Chemist Job Requirements

Profile description

• As Product Development & Application Chemist you mastered in chemistry (industrial engineer) and have at least 5 to 10 years experience in product development.
• You have a thorough knowledge of lubricants and/or surface cleaners and/or anti-corrosion products. Knowledge of aerosol technology as well as an interest in electronics and/or car mechanics are an assets.
• You are familiar with project management and quality system management according to ISO 9001 standards.
• As Product Development & Application Chemist with CRC Industries Europe in Zele you are a driven problem solver, team player and organiser.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch, French and English, in speech as well as in writing.
• International business travel for several days in a row does not pose a problem.
