Material Specialist (MSc or PhD)
Job Mission
Candidate is responsible for specifying the requirements with respect to materials and contamination risk of the optics. Furthermore the candidate is responsible for proper execution of the requirements. Finally it is his/her responsibility to ensure proper qualification of systems with respect to materials usage and cleanliness. Focus area is metallurgy and corrosion. In case of issues / failures he/she should find an alternative material or surface treatment that meets all requirements. Technology areas are: chemical contamination control, optics lifetime and generic material qualification.
