Material engineer Job Description

Goodyear Dunlop has an immediate opening for a Material Engineer.

As member of the Global Material Science Department at the Goodyear Innovation Center in Luxembourg, you will:

• Lead and coordinate material aspects of Research & Development projects.
• Develop and assess new material technologies in new tire products.
• Contribute to building the understanding of relationships between material structure, compound properties and tire performance.
• Work in multidisciplinary project teams.

Material engineer Job Requirements

Education
The candidate must have successfully completed at least a 5-year university study in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science (Diploma, Master or PhD).
 
Languages
The candidate must be fluent in English and Mandarin (oral/written).
 
Experience
The candidate should preferably have some experience in rubber compounding

• IT, soft skills & others
• Knowledge of Rheology, Polymers desired
• Knowledge of PC based software (MS Office, statistical software, etc.)
• Ready to work in an international environment.
• An extended training assignment (18-24months) in China Pulandian or Asia Pacific Region will be a condition, following general on-boarding and initial training in Luxembourg.
• Team player.
• Leadership skills.
• Self motivated.
• Open minded and flexible.
• Good communication skills on all levels.
