Operations Process - Project Development Engineer – 9764BR

To provide the primary process elements of project support to ASUs in Europe and to be responsible for process input to major Safety, Reliability, Productivity and Asset-management projects across the region. This will involve close co-operation with the Line Management, Operations Projects, plant staff and other support groups in Hersham and across the region including other members of the Operations Process department.

The role includes contributing to the development of the process scope for new projects, determination of costs and benefits, duty specifications for new equipment, and participation in any commissioning and performance testing of the projects implemented.
The job holder is responsible for the Process Engineering element of improvement projects across all ASUs, especially the larger projects. He or she is also responsible for coordinating with Ops Projects to ensure that project schedules are met and the Process input is completed as required.

In addition, the successful candidate would be expected to:

• Provide operational advice and support to our European facilities if required.
• Develop an awareness of the demands of the various customers to provide optimisation guidance to the plant management and process technical support to Business development initiatives.
• Contribute to the overall activities of the Ops Process ASU Group including productivity improvements, technology enhancement and best practice.
