Xelvin is a specialist in the seconding of enterprising engineers. Xelvin owes its success to one important operating principle: it offers candidates and companies the power of freedom that comes from being able to make a conscious choice.
By being an open organization in which sincerely interested people enjoy a healthy amount of freedom, Xelvin forms a bond of trust that enables people to make conscious choices on their own. Not premeditated choices or ready-made choices that are generated by up-front efficiency processes, but choices that are based on a set of unique factors and could not have been made in any other way. Choices that candidates and companies can, in all honesty, call their own.
Department
The department for Mechatronics is responsible for the specification, design, integration and qualification of the mechatronics sub-systems and components which are fitted into end products. The main focus of the department is on intelligent motion control of high speed components. Control engineering, dynamics, actuator design, position measurement systems and material handling are part of this department’s main competences.
Job Mission
To design mechatronic system concepts for a variety of products and machines, ensuring consistency between the system, system concept and system integration, and giving substantive technical support to the project, from acquisition to the transfer of the project results to the client.
Job Description
Concept determination of the specifications for the mechatronic systems. Breakdown of specifications into detailed sub-module specifications and critical component selection for the overall design of the mechatronic system. Critical component selection and defining the technical approach for integration and test. Test execution of mechatronic components or subsystems with emphasis on control-engineering tuning, signal analysis, functional integration and troubleshoot. In addition dealing with actuators, dynamics, mechanics, motion control, sensors and electronics is part of the responsibilities. Specifying, documenting, developing, integrating and testing the machines. Theoretical or practical experience with position measurement systems, handling systems, control engineering, actuator design, dynamics.
Educational Level
Technical University Masters or PhD degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering (control systems), Electrical Engineering (controls). Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in mechatronic design, and knowledge in the fields control-engineering, signal analysis and testing; knowledge in the areas of dynamics, position measurement and actuator systems.
Personal Skills
The candidate should have experience in modeling of mechatronic systems in Matlab/Simulink and execution of integration of the modules according to the specifications. The candidate should possess creativity, flexibility, independence, conceptual ability, and decisiveness.
Should have strong analytical skills with a pragmatic attitude and the ability to design on a high quality level and conscious of costs. Good communicational skills and good knowledge of English.
