Senior Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Engineer   Your role will involve:   

• Be in charge of the installation, improvement of new and/or existing processes/equipment utilizing the lean manufacturing techniques and bring the performance of the equipment to the volume production level/standard and assure the highest quality and least costly manufacturing processes;
• Bring the new product launches to the acceptance test level for handover to production;
• Participate in acceptance tests for equipment and new products;
• Ownership for the transition of the launched product after external release/launch to the continuous improvement engineering team;
• Develop standard operating procedures, control charts, and out-of-control action plans;
• Responsible for the manufacturing cell layout with regards to new projects, and after approval, the coordination of the master lay out team;
• Ensure all issues are driven to closure through root cause analysis process;

Senior Manufacturing Engineer Job Requirements

In return, you will bring:  

• Bachelor degree in Engineering,  preferably Mechanical/Industrial or Mechatronics;
• At least 5 years of engineering experience in a World Class Manufacturing environment;
• Six Sigma (Green belt level at least)/Lean Manufacturing experience;
• Knowledge of statistical analysis & problem solving techniques;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Result and fact driven, decisive making skills;
• Driven, fast learning thinker;
• Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload and meet deadlines;
• Willingness to travel (15%).
