Job Mission
The Portfolio Officer is responsible for supporting the Operations Portfolio governance by providing timely and accurate projects information to secure effective decision making, preparing presentations for (sub) portfolio board meetings and aligning & improving our way of working across the (sub) portfolio’s.

Job Description

• Pro-actively assist the Information Officer (Head of Portfolio Office) and Business Partners:
• By providing (sub) portfolio support
• By being contact point for lead project officer for the sub portfolio’s
• By providing accurate portfolio dashboard reporting & metrics (status on the triple constraint, technical and operational content);
• By structuring regular review meetings;
• By preparing communication and/or escalations on the issues/risks and the required contingency/mitigation actions to the Information Office, project officer and Business Partners;
• By providing guidance during the financial forecasting (budget) process and proactively assist regular financial management;
• By securing documentation of all relevant Portfolio management documents, decisions and changes;
• Drive the roll-out and embedding of (sub) portfolio standards and processes related to e.g. planning, stage gate reviews, reporting, metrics, change control and quality;
• Participate in cross department initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the portfolio management processes.

PMO Portfolio Office Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor degree, preferably in the area of Business Engineering or (Technical-) Business Administration or Economics.

Experience

• 3-5 years working experience as a hands-on Portfolio PMO / Program PMO  in a complex program, preferably in Operations
• Knowledge in the area of Management of Portfolio’s (MoP) and Program Management in a high-tech environment
• Experience with Ms Office, specifically with Excel and Powerpoint is a must
• Work experience with MS Project and/or Project Online is a plus
• Work experience in setting up (sub) sites in Sharepoint and/or Microsoft Team is plus
• Work experience and/or qualifications on LEAN, Agile and or PMM is a plus
• Experience with creating financials overviews (Financial acumen)

• Excellent communicator, process skills and being able to influence without hierarchical power
• Stakeholder management skills at multiple organizational levels
• Empathic for cultural sensitivity and differences
• Ability to work independent and under time pressure
• Ability to work in an unambiguous, decisive but collaborative way
• Ability to manage conflict situation without immediate escalation mode

• Fluent in Dutch and English verbally and written
